Cardamom Tea-

It is the secret fear of every hostess that her food will not agree with her guests.  And in this day and age, that is becoming more and more of a problem.  Our food is being ruined before we ever buy it.  So promote digestion and send tummy troubles packing with some Cardamom Tea!

Gastrointestinal problems are quite common.  Most people like to eat three times a day, so that makes the problems rear their ugly heads often.  Babies cry from gas, children complain of stomachaches, and adults suffer from bloating, indigestion, heartburn, and stomach cramps. Symptoms can last for days.  And the misery impacts daily life activities.  Reclaim your life by combating those symptoms with this amazing tea!

Cardamom Tea

Cardamom Tea is very simple to make and tastes heavenly!  If you need cardamom, go here.  This tea is made from the green pods, but there are black pods.  Gently break open three pods, and crush the seeds inside.  This will activate the oils, and bring more fragrance to your tea.

Boil 6 cups of water and remove from heat.  Pour in 1 cup of milk, add three black tea bags, 1/2 c. brown sugar, and crushed cardamom seeds.  Just barely boil again, then let steep for 5 minutes. Strain, and pour into teacups.

This tea is already sweetened and has milk, so sit back and enjoy. It’s very mild, so try it on the kiddos.  The bonus is it appears like hot chocolate!

My Final Thoughts…

Cardamom is a Mediterranean spice.  The whole diet over there just fascinates me, as they don’t suffer with the same health problems as we do over here.  Could there be a correlation?

    This sounds really good! I cant have sugar for another few weeks because of an elimination diet to check for food sensitivities, but I will have to bookmark this page to try this out later!

    I do think the Mediterranean diet has a huge number of health benefits. I love cardamom but have never had cardamom tea. I definitely need to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Hearth and Soul Hop.
