Ever have that winter cough that just goes on and on? I have and its so annoying. Even that last tickle seems like it just won’t quit. And cough drops may or may not help. And then there’s Robitussin, which I personally think is just disgusting. Enter Lime Tea. It has enough tea to suppress that cough, and it tastes amazing due to all that honey.
While your water is heating, place 1/4 teaspoon salt and 2 tablespoons honey in your teacup.
The salt is at the bottom of the cup in the picture. Add water to the cup leaving a bit of space at the top. You need room for your lime juice. Stir until completely blended.
Now add the freshly squeezed juice of one lime. Stir again until completely mixed.
Lime Tea has some amazing benefits. First, its lime at its prime. In its freshest form, the original way it was created. Many modern pharmaceuticals have side effects, in fact, most do. Though they originally came from herbs, they have been so highly processed, one must take a lot of bad in with the good. Namely, many side effects with the benefits.
Health Benefits of Lime Tea
- Helps in Sickle Cell crisis
- Slows down plaque buildup
- Kills cholera
- Regulates blood sugar
- Promotes digestion
- Treats parasites
- Cough suppressant
My Final Thoughts
One thing I find really amazing is this helps with digestion. Do you know how many people take Prilosec or Protonix? Most of my patients are taking one of these medications. Its because their digestion is not working properly. When I worked in the hospital there were so many internal medicine doctors. Among other things, this is what they dealt with. And none of them were prescribing anything with lime! Well, maybe it would have put us all out of business.
Don’t forget to try my Chili Lime Salt.
What have you used lime for? Let me know in the comments.
